This clearly shows that alternative music is the most popular as it can cover a variety of bases, however it usually focuses on indie bands. Rock is also another large contender as it too has 4,035 votes. This is because Rock a numerous sub-genres which are becoming more and more popular. Rap also has a substantial amount of votes.
