The main things which I found useful and will put into practice are;
- Planning + being organised - Ill admit that this isn't one of my best traits but I intend to improve with the tips given in this power point. For example shooting early and story boarding more effectively. Keep a diary of what I intend to do and follow it.
- Experimenting with software - Test running things like final cut and after-effects to gain some knowledge and how particular things operate. Do test runs off all the programmes we intend to use first. Blog bout them and what i found difficult easy etc.
- Experimenting with shots - This will allow us to see what works and doesn't. Expermenting as soon as we have our first storyboard draft complete. This is enable us to be more efficient with time, and make sure we are happy with shots before 'officially shooting'
- Getting feedback - Don't just rely on class comments, post draft of video to forums etc. to get additional comments. Feed back also from professionals - sending our first drafts to music companies to see if they will give back comments.
- Look at the Pros - Look at professional material out there already to get inspiration videos, digipacks + websites. Using a free creating service like wix, will help us immensely, when designing the site
- Show how your products evolve - Using screen grabs will clearly show our thought process(es). Updating blog with new post frequently about how video + website + digipack is evolving. This will explain in detail why we will change things and why we have done certain things
